Our Mission

The Metro CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team was established to help reduce or eliminate the adverse effects of acute or cumulative stress on emergency service personnel and their families.  The team serves the seven county metro area surrounding Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota.  We will also assist with mutual aid requests when needed.

Our Vision 

Recognizing that emergency service personnel are uniquely positioned to be at risk for potentially harmful effects of traumatic stress: We will strive to provide effective stress management services, free of charge to any person or group involved in emergency response.  We will tenaciously strive to add to, and improve our services.  We will hold ourselves to the highest standards of service, ethics and professionalism.  We will address our mission pro-actively, reaching out and identifying every potential avenue of service to accomplish our mission. 

Building upon the strengths of our volunteers, we expect the Metro CISM Team to continue to be accepted and sought out as a valuable, viable resource within the emergency service community and beyond.
